About Carl
Carl A. Trapani is a Wisconsin state-Licensed Professional Counselor who has been a staff member at Heinz Psychological Services since 1997. His counseling emphasizes practical, holistic therapy for individuals and families using a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CB/T), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DB/T) and Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
Mr. Trapani has over thirty years experience in pastoral ministry and Christian counseling. He holds undergraduate degrees in Theology, History, and Religious Studies from Ohio Bible College, and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He holds graduate degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in History, and from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Guidance & Counseling in Mental Health. He also holds status as a Diplomate of the American Psychotherapy Association.
In addition to numerous writings and published articles, Mr. Trapani is an experienced speaker and teacher. He has conducted many marriage and family enrichment seminars locally and across the U.S.
As a long-time resident of Eau Claire, Carl Trapani has been active in community affairs, serving as Eau Claire P.T.A. Council Vice President, and member of the Blue Ribbon Committee for Excellence in Education. In addition he served on the board of the Eau Claire Mental Health Association and been Honorary Chaplain for the Military Officers Association of America – Indianhead Chapter. He is an ordained minister and served as pastor of Apostolic Faith Church from 1980-2009 when he retired as pastor emeritus.
He is married (Barbara), with three grown children and seven delightful grandchildren that keep him happy and busy whenever he has any free time.
