Bob Shaw brings
expertise gleaned from many years of working with University students, faculty,
staff and in the community during his lengthy tenure at the University of
Wisconsin Eau Claire as Dean of Students. The work he did there with over 1000
students a year included counseling, interventions, referral and follow up for
the inevitable crises faced by this population. Now, his work at Heinz
Psychological Services uses those same skills for a wider population. Bob is
involved in treating clients suffering from depression, anxiety, post traumatic,
identity and addictive issues. He works with employee assistance groups and has
been serving members of the armed services who are adjusting to their various
roles in Operation Iraqi freedom, as well as other military deployments. He can
assist parents and children who are experiencing educational concerns. He has
continued interest in providing seminars, in-services and workshops on a variety
of topics related to human development and interpersonal relationships.
Educational
background includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree in the Social Sciences from the
University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and a Master of Science Degree in Guidance
and Counseling from University of Wisconsin Stout. He has been a Licensed
Professional counselor in the State of Wisconsin since 1985.
Bob is married to
Bonnie. They have a grown daughter, Brooke and son, Chad.
